A 27-year-old controversial church founder in Zimbabwe, Given Dube, has caused outrage after he claimed that he is God and that Jesus is not coming back.

Dube, who claimed to be God, wants Africans not to believe that Jesus is coming again.

According to a newspaper, Zimbabwe News, Dube who is the founder of Umuzi ka Nkulunkulu (House of god) Church in Pumula South, had told his members to address him as God as the Holy Spirit had descended on him and declared him God.

The pastor is said to have been telling his members that he is the God who made the heaven and earth and has power over all creation.

He added that the belief that Jesus is coming back was just a fallacy used by religious scholars to hold people in perpetual fear.

In an interview with the newspaper, Dube who has a Holy Book which his members use for their daily guide emphasized his claims by saying he was God’s host on earth.

He said, “I am being used by a spirit which I cannot even see. I only saw it in a vision once when it first appeared to me in 2008 when I was in Chipinge for National Youth Service training.

“Since then, God’s spirit speaks to me and I hear his voice and that spirit uses me. For people to believe me, I write everything down and that is the holy book referred to as Uluju Lwezulu.

“I am God and do not need anyone to explain my words. I have written this book and it guides people in their daily lives.

“When Jesus came to earth, not all people listened to him and he was even killed. Now I have come, some have listened and I will guide them.

“They believe the lies they are being told that Jesus is coming back again. I can tell you that he is not coming back again as the religious leaders use that to instill fear in people.

“I am God and I plan. I just command and it happens. You also have to understand that I don’t expect everyone to see me as their God, but they first have to accept the word and understand, so only church members recognize me as their God.

“I command, I can stop diseases and wars in the world or even command them to happen. This is a different belief from Christians who are still waiting for the coming of Jesus; I am already here.”

See The Nigeria Soldier That Will Be Hang To Death For R.Aping A Married Woman

30-year-old Nigerian soldier, Lance Corporal Oge Etudo, has been found guilty of r.ape and culpable homicide and has been sentenced to death by hanging by an Abuja Court.
The Soldier who was formerly attached to a battalion of the Nigerian Army at Lungi Barracks in Abuja, was found guilty of abducting a lady, whose name was given as Binta Usman Kadede, on March 27, 2014, at Dei-Dei suburb of the FCT.
Justice A.S. Adepoju who ruled on the case, stressed that the soldier gruesomely murdered his victim after r.aping her, and so will not show
mercy to him.
The soldier who maintained he was innocent of the charges, had this to say;
“I was a guard commander in my Commander Tango’s house. I took a break by 10 am after submitting my arms and ammunition to my junior, I left to Dei-Dei to see my friend called Igwe at Dei-Dei to discuss about my planned white weeding.
“I stopped at Dei-Dei to urinate, in the process I was attacked by some hoodlums who inflicted injuries in me. I ran to the Conoil filling station”, he added.

He told the court that at the time he was attacked, he was in his military uniform and was carrying a cash of N55, 000 on him.
“On reaching the Conoil, I shouted thief! thief! and fainted due to loss of blood.
“I did not know what happened after regaining consciousness, I found myself in the hospital Unclad.”
Nevertheless, one of the prosecution witnesses, Usman Ishaq, a security guard at a block industry in Dei- Dei, told the court that he saw the defendant force the deceased into the bush.
“He was a passenger on a motorbike,(okada) when he came towards the deceased side, he told the Okada rider to stop. He dropped from the motorcycle and asked him to go. And he forced the deceased – a milk seller, into the bush.
“When I got to the point where they entered the bush, I met the accused person on top of the deceased with knife. He was stabbing her on the neck and on the abdomen”.
The witness went on to tell the court, how he mobilized people who got the soldier arrested after he tried to escape.
The husband of the deceased, Usman Adamu, also testified as prosecution witness 2.
A medical report signed by a Chief Consultant Pathologist, Gwagwalada Specialist Hospital, Abuja, Dr. A.U. Mukthar, confirmed that the deceased had injuries around the vulva area with cervical fractures and corroborated the uncontradicted evidence of the eye-witness who saw the accused person on top of the deceased with a knife.

Bishop Oyedepo Talks Tough – Western Nations Can’t Solve Nigeria’s Problems, See The Solution He Gave

The Presiding Bishop of the  Living Faith Church Worldwide, a.k.a. Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo;  the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin,  Prof. Abdulganiyu Ambali;  the Vice-Chancellor of Summit University, Offa, Kwara State, Prof. Hussein Oloyede; and the National President, Obafemi Awolowo University Muslim Graduates’ Association,  Mr. Abdulwaheed Odeyinka, on Sunday said the nation’s problems could not be solved by Western nations.
They, therefore, cautioned Nigerians against expecting solutions to Nigeria’s   developmental and contemporary challenges from the international community.
They called on the leaders and people of Nigeria to explore home-grown strategies to solve the problems, stressing that only Nigerians could solve the nation’s challenges.
Oyedepo, who is also the Chancellor of Landmark University, Omu-Aran, Kwara State, spoke during the third inaugural lecture of the institution. The lecture was delivered by a professor of Material and Corrosion Engineering of the Department of  Mechanical Engineering, College of Science and Engineering of  the institution,  Prof. Makanjuola Oki.
The lecture was titled, ‘The tripodal connection – man, material and environment: agricultural inputs in corrosion.’
Ambali spoke during  a public lecture organised by the Department of  Public Administration of the institution in Ilorin titled, ‘Transformational leadership as a panacea for national development,’ while  Oloyede and   Odeyinka spoke  during UNIFEMGA’s 2017 day of honour in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
Oyedepo, who was represented by the  Landmark University’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Aize Obayan, noted that leaders and people of  Nigeria and Africa in general must work hard to address their developmental challenges.
He said Landmark University was committed to leading an agrarian revolution by digging up the treasures of the land and restoring the dignity of the black man.
He emphasised the need for intellectuals to embark on researches that would solve societal problems rather than those that were not relevant to the nation’s contemporary needs.

According to him, researches must be solution-driven and innovative.
Oyedepo said, “We must find solutions to our particular challenges. No one will do it for us.”
Oki, while delivering the lecture, said agricultural inputs in corrosion studies and control were on the upward swing.
He stated that extracts from various parts of plants were being employed in the control of the rate of degradation of steel reinforced concretes as well as metal/alloys in several situations.
Oloyede and  Odeyinka called on Nigerians to show more commitment and loyalty to the country.
Oloyede said, “Whenever you have a challenge and you do not think of how to solve the challenge among yourself, you are not likely to solve it.
“The panacea that you are likely to be given when you go outside is what relates to people outside, the experiences outside, those experiences may not, necessarily, be able to solve the problem here.
“But discuss the problems and you’ll see that there are people in this country knowledgeable and forthright who will solve it. So, let us solve our problems.”
Odeyinka said, “Japan was developed by the Japanese, Germany was developed by the Germans. We are Nigerians and we are the only ones that can develop Nigeria.
“If we are looking for any foreign help or even taking our assets overseas, we are only killing our country. We are the ones that can develop this country. We should look inward.”
Ambali noted that for many years, successive Nigerian leaders had been transforming themselves and their families with the nation’s commonwealth to the detriment of the people.
He said this was in contrast to the situation with many world leaders from Singapore, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates, Canada, Tanzania and Botswana.
The VC said it would take transformational leadership to achieve national development in Nigeria.
Ambali said, “It will really catalyse our developmental drive when we do not fold our hands and expect government or leaders to do all for us but we see one another as partners in progress.”
The guest lecturer, Mr. Dada Obafemi, said leadership must be with integrity.
Obafemi, who is also the Unilorin Registrar, said with good leadership, the fortune of Nigeria and Africa in general could be turned around.

Evil Pastor On The Run After Killing Church Member For Rituals In Delta State...Shocking Details

The general overseer of a Pentecostal church in Delta state is currently on the run after allegedly killing a church member during prayer session for rituals.

A Pentecostal church pastor identified as Jessiah with his church in Ugbolu community near Asaba, Delta State is currently on the run after he allegedly killed one Ejiofor Ujah, a member of his church during prayer session for rituals.

According to The Leadership, the victim was allegedly invited by the pastor for the prayer session and never returned until two days after his whereabouts became unknown.

Police Public Relations Officers in the state, Mr. Andrew Aniamaka who confirmed the incident, disclosed the corps of the victim after a search was conducted by Ugbolu villages, was found by a hunter in a soak-away few meters away from the church, adding the pastor and two of his cohorts had taken to their heels.

He said that two persons have been arrested are still being detained in connection with the act, while investigation is ongoing with a view to arresting the fleeing suspects.

Investigation revealed that the incident which occurred last Tuesday in Ugbolu community, has created palpable tension and fear of the unknown among its residents and the church member who have deserted it.

Further investigation revealed that the church (name withheld) has been deserted since the incident was blown open and had allegedly exposed the pastor who doubles as general overseer of the church. Insider, Kate Okafor alleged that the pastor had on the fateful Tuesday called the victim for a prayer session and in response, the victim who allegedly smelt a rat of danger told the wife of his movement to the church before the bubble burst.

But this was not to be when the victim the following day did not return home, this created suspicion and the wife raised the alarm as after she visited the church in her efforts to see the husband met a brick wall.

Mrs. Rosemary Ujah, the victim’s wife told our reporter; “I was confused when I did found my husband in the church two days after and I raised the alarm after reporting to the police at Ugbolu Police Division and a search party conducted which discovered his corps in soak away”.

Unconfirmed sources said the pastor had allegedly been found suspicious before the incident as many occasions, he performed unholy act in the church.

BREAKING NEWS: UK Police Commence Probe Of Popular Nigerian Pastor’s Church Over 5 Million Pounds Ponzi Scam

The City of London police are investigating an alleged fraud involving a former Premier League footballer who lost £3.9m from one of Britain’s richest evangelical churches in a disastrous investment scheme.
The criminal investigation follows a Charity Commission report into “mismanagement” at Kingsway International Christian Centre, which invested £5m with the former Charlton Athletic player Richard Rufus. Rufus was found by a civil court judge in 2015 to have operated a Ponzi-style scheme between 2007 and 2011, losing or spending £8m from several investors.
Rufus was a leading member of the KICC whose “founder, visionary and senior pastor” is Matthew Ashimolowo, a Nigerian evangelist who preaches a “health and wealth” gospel to a congregation of thousands at his “Prayer Palace” in Kent. The largely African and Caribbean churchgoers are urged to give regular tithes and the church collected £5.8m from them in 2015, according to the latest accounts.
In 2009 and 2010 the trustees agreed to give Rufus £5m to invest after he promised them returns of 55% a year at a time when interest rates were less than 1%. As well as millions in donations from churchgoers – which were boosted by gift aid tax relief – it had recently received £10m from the London Development Agency, a public body that needed to demolish the church’s then home in east London to build the Olympic Park.
“Detectives from City of London police’s fraud teams are investigating,” a police spokesman confirmed. There have been no arrests.
In a damning set of conclusions published in December, the Charity Commission said the trustees “did not exercise sufficient care” when they gave Rufus the church’s money.

The regulator said they failed to check if Rufus had any investment qualifications or experience and gave little thought to the extraordinarily high rate of return Rufus was promising.
The church’s senior management team concluded his “personal guarantee makes this as safe an investment as any” and produced a report on the investment that included no checks on Rufus’s past investment performance or any references from clients.
It is the second time the Charity Commission has had to investigate the church. In 2005, when it was known as the King’s Ministries Trust, the regulator ordered Ashimolowo to repay £200,000 after it emerged he used church assets to buy a £13,000 Florida timeshare and spent £120,000 on his birthday celebrations, including £80,000 on a car. New trustees were appointed and Ashimolowo was removed from his role as chief executive.
Ashimolowo knew about the investment with Rufus, the church’s chief operating officer James McGlashan told the Guardian, but denies being any part of the decision to invest the money as he was not a trustee of the KICC.
“[The trustees’] actions were totally independent and were not influenced in any way by pastor Ashimolowo,” said Dipo Oluyomi, KICC chief executive in a statement.
None of the current trustees were involved at the time of the investment.
Ashimolowo delivers sermons to his congregations at branches of the church in the UK, Ireland, Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Malawi and the Democratic Republic of Congo that teach how God wants them to be rich, including lessons on the “irrevocable laws of wealth creation” . He sometimes jets into London on Sunday morning, delivers back to back services and then flies out of the country later that day, according to McGlashan.

Boko Haram Attacks Nigerian Army Base, 47 Soldiers Killed

Over 47 Nigerian soldiers and more than 15 Boko Haram fighters were killed when the jihadists attacked an army base in the remote northeast where the group has been fighting for an Islamic state, a military source said on Sunday.

Boko Haram attacked an army brigade in Buni Yadi in Yobe state late on Saturday, an army spokesman said by text message, without giving a casualty figure. 

"Five soldiers lost their life in the attack though more than 15 Boko Haram were killed by troops," the military source said.

Several explosions could be heard on Sunday in Maiduguri, capital of Borno state where Boko Haram started its seven-year insurgency that has killed about 15,000 people and displaced more than 2 million.

Officials or medics were not immediately available to give a casualty figure.

Tinubu continued by saying that, “What surprised me most was the pictures published and spreading all over the social media showing myself and Akande with Buhari in London. I didn’t travel out of the country so the question is where did these pictures emanate from?

“The presidential aides are not living up to their expectations in handling information relating to the president’s health, Tinubu said. I see nothing wrong in someone falling sick after all we are all humans and not machines, even machines do breakdown”
The presidential aides have left room for rumours and grapevines to thrive regarding the president vacation with conflicting statements and pronouncements.
