They also tracked and arrested the leader of the syndicate, one Mrs. Ifeoma Chichi Daniel, who fled to Lagos as soon as she learnt that police had uncovered their hideout.
Also arrested was one of her workers, Collins Maduekwe, whose responsibility it was to ensure that the minors have sex with any man willing to pay.
A police source said the officers acted on a tip-off by a neighbour alleging that some persons were locked inside a room for several days.

The young girls identified as Blessing John, Chidinma Amakwe, Nancy Azubuike, Chiamaka Eze, Beauty Ndulue and Amarachi Chinedu drew the attention of neigbours when they started fighting and no one could open the door because it was locked from outside.
Shortly after they were rescued, they told the police they were lured by their ‘master’ to come to Abuja and work as under-aged prostitutes.
Part of the agreement was that they would be paid the sum N200,000 each after six months of sojourn.
The suspects and victims have been handed over to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Traffic in Persons and Other related Matters (NAPTIP) for further investigation.ads4
