Utako Market
The Utako Market is where you could get things cheaper than most markets in Abuja. The reason is because of the affordable cost of rent in the market and, also, it is closer to where these farm products come from. You may have a problem with parking space because it is inadequate for the amount of cars polling up at the place. You will find this market Off Obafemi Awolowo Way, behind ABM Plaza in Utako.

ABUJA’s SPECIALIZED MARKETS
Maitama Fruit Market popularly called Farmers Market is a destination of choice for those looking for fresh fruits and vegetables in a neat and organized environment at competitive prices. Spruced up by the Mallam Nasir el-Rufai administration, this is a relatively small but convenient market smack in the middle of Maitama. Seasonal tropical fruits are usually on offer complemented by imported varieties like apples, pears, grapes, and plums etc. In addition to fresh fruits and fruit squeezes, shoppers can also get other items, especially drinks and beverages.

Zone 3 Neighborhood is Abuja’s computer destination offering computer hardware, software, peripherals, consumables as well as repairs and servicing. The city has several franchise outlets for various brands but the Zone 3 Neighborhood brings several suppliers together in one location making it possible for shoppers to compare prices without having to visit these several locations. The parking lot at the facility offers paid parking. Shoppers would like to watch out when buying software from street vendors on the outlying streets to be sure that they are not pirated copies.

Dei Dei Building Materials Market is located on the way to Suleja. It is a place of choice for those in the construction business. But it is also a destination of choice for those looking to buy their own building materials or improve their homes. The market offers the whole spectrum of building materials for different tastes and budgets.
Gudu Market is the city’s automobile spare parts market patronized by car owners, mechanics and even high-end auto repair shops. The market offers brand new and used auto parts ranging from the smallest circuit fuse to complete replacement car engines. Orders can be placed for items that are not immediately available. Traffic in and around the location can be mildly chaotic because of the limited parking space and the petty traders that operate along the access road to the market. Patrons who have not made up their minds about what to buy will face hectic time as vendors and middle men abound to pressure shoppers.

Kado Fish Market in Kado District is not all about fish as the market is also a shopping destination for frozen poultry. The strong point of the Kado Fish Market is the prospect of buying fish and poultry at bulk price—a plus if you are planning a self-catered party or event.

The GSM Village may not the fit the description of a market in the strict sense of it but this is one location that offers informal services for mobile devices. Located under a bridge in the Central Business District, the GSM Village is the place to repair damaged phones, upgrade software, install apps and pimp mobile devices with accessories. It is a choice destination for those looking to buy used or new phones and those who want to sell or trade in their existing phones. Caution is however needed when buying phones since the vendors at the location are not the established or institutional retailers that offer reliable warranties. Care must also be taken when buying phones and accessories to ensure they are not cloned versions or even stolen ones.
